Our founder and head coach, Darren, has spent his whole life in the fitness industry. This all started when Darren was a child and he took up soccer. Darren spent twenty years competing as a soccer player in the State league. He had to withdraw from the sport due to many injuries but still wanted to stay in peak physical condition. He enrolled at the local gym and discovered a new interest in weightlifting. In 2006, he followed his passion and began working as a personal trainer. While advancing his profession in banking and finance, he maintained his personal fitness training business and helped others achieve their own fitness objectives. Darren continued his rigorous exercise regimen for the next 16 years, lifting heavy weights at the gym and riding dirt motorcycles, both of which left him with a slew of soft tissue injuries. Two years ago, he set out on a quest to discover a way for himself and his clients to keep training hard and effectively without further harming their bodies. His search for an effective method of training led him to EMS after he had exhausted several other avenues to no avail. Darren was so impressed by the revolutionary technology and effectiveness of EMS training that it inspired him to leave the finance industry and create pathway for the community to also enjoy the benefits of EMS. Twelve months later XLAB EMS Training was born!
